Busy Hands Preschool was founded with the vision of establishing a different and innovative perspective in Education. It is the first bilingual Early Childhood Education center in Uruguay, inspired 100% by the Reggio Emilia Approach. Founded by Patricia Johnson, school’s director and teacher with more than 25 years of experience worldwide, in places such as London (UK), Miami (US), Bs.As. (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay).
We have a highly qualified multidisciplinary team that consists of: 2 to 3 teachers per group, a resident psychologist, a pedagogist, a speech therapist, a physical therapist, and an art teacher (the “Atelierista”).
In Busy Hands we value and appreciate the visit of different professionals such as: musicians, painters, sculptors, actors, firemen, policemen, engineers, doctors, among others. We believe that the more immersed we are in knowing different realities, the richer the learning will be.
This is why different people will visit us during the year, in order to learn more about their activities, experience the tools they use and "learn" with and from them. It is also here, where we will invite you to art exhibitions made by your children.
During the afternoons, we also have several creative workshops that go hand in hand with the Reggio Emilia Approach, for those parents who look for special and extracurricular activities for their children.
Our doors are always open for all those who want to propose new initiatives, projects, meetings or invitations to special events. We firmly believe in, and encourage the active participation of parents and the community we live in.
